William Hildrey Freeman, 94, of Colonial Heights, VA, passed away February 6, 2010. A native of Bertie County, Windsor, NC, he was the son of the late Charles H. and Nannie H. Freeman. He was retired from the United States Navy and Civil Service.
He is survived by his son, John W. Freeman of Colonial Heights, VA; two grandsons, John W. Rhodes and wife Christy and Ryan S. Rhodes; four great granddaughters; a sister, Illa Parks; several nieces and nephews; and a special family friend, Theresa Williams.
The family will greet friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel Thursday from 12 to 1:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to DAV or USO. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
