Mr. Brashear you are truly an inspiration to me in every aspect of my life. Through determination, courage, and integrity, you have shown me that no dream is impossible. Although I am only 19 years old, I wish I could have shaken your hand Sir, because you are my number one hero. May God bless you and your family. I will never forget your story, and I will always remember what your father told you "Always be the best."

My heart felt thoughts are with the family. I have watched the film many times and wished that I could have met Carl in this life. Hopefully, my opportunity will be realized when I join him in heaven someday.
Based upon the movie, Carl must have been truly a MAN OF HONOR.
Sincerely,
Stan Eitutis, First Sergeant Retired, US ARMY

On September 15,2009 I lost my right leg to a blood clot. It was horrible. I never thought I would ever get a chance to chase my three year old around the house. This made me SICK ! I watched Man of Honor in December and really realized that it was possible. On Friday I was able to get on the tred mill and start a small jog. By the grace of god I feel I have been given another chance. Thank You Carl...God Bless your family

His story, his life is a great inspiration and makes me believe that the human spirit can achieve whatever is within us and beyond.

I was a Navy man myself, enlisted when I was 17 during Korea. I admire Mr. Brashear for being a man of "Honor". I have watched the movie many times. The part that really put lump in my throat was, when he answered the Capt. what the most tradition in the Navy was, he answered........."Honor Sir", that made my eyes watery.I will never forget his insperation and courage.
